SALINAS, Calif. (KION) Salinas police announced that the new red light cameras in the city are ready, and drivers will be facing full citations instead of warnings now.

The cameras are installed at N. Main Street and Boronda Road, N. Main Street and Laurel Drive, Sanborn Road and Laurel Drive and Davis Road and Laurel Drive.

Police said in addition to running red lights, drivers could be cited if they do not come to a complete stop before turning right at an intersection.

Police also said video will be reviewed, and if the driver is convicted, they could get a point on their driving record.
