Tip line dedicated to finding escaped Monterey County inmates created

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office has created a new tip line dedicated for tips related to two inmates who escaped from the Monterey County Jail.

Anyone with information is asked to call 831-755-6276.

The Sheriff’s Office is looking for 21-year-old Santos Samuel Fonseca and 20-year-old Jonathan Salazar. Both were booked in the jail on murder charges.

Fonseca is 5 feet 7 inches tall and 150 pounds, and Salazar is 5 feet 7 inches tall and 170 pounds. Both are Hispanic with black hair and black eyes.

The Sheriff’s Office is also offering a $5,000 cash reward for information leading to their capture.
