Two more men arrested on attempted murder charges for May shooting in Gonzales

Two more men have been arrested on attempted murder charges in connection to a shooting that happened in Gonzales in May.

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office and Gonzales police began investigating after a 17-year-old boy was shot outside Gonzales city limits on May 18. Later that week, detectives arrested Uriel Tirado Otero in connection to the shooting.

The Sheriff’s Office continued investigating, and that led them to serve two search warrants in the 600 block of Indian Warrior Way and 600 block of Ventura Drive in Soledad on Wednesday. After that, they arrested 18-year-old Gregorio Anthony Gudino Jr. and 19-year-old Daniel Ray Corona.

Both were booked into the Monterey County Jail and charged with attempted murder, conspiracy and gang enhancements. Investigators thing the attempted murder was done to benefit a local gang.
