One dead in fatal accident on Boronda Road
A driver is dead after a rollover crash on westbound Boronda Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just after midnight Saturday.
CHP says the 56-year-old driver was traveling at an unknown rate of speed when they failed to negotiate the right turn and continued straight.
The car landed on its roof in a dirt agricultural field.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected and trapped under the vehicle.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 24-year-old passenger was taken to Natividad Medical Center with moderate injuries.
CHP says alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
