Video of adopted baby smiling at new mother goes viral

Fifteen million people have watched a video posted by the National Down Syndrome Adoption Network two weeks ago.

In the video, a baby with Down syndrome is smiling at her adoptive mother.

The NDSAN is part of the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati, according to its website. The founder, Robin Steele, was also one of the founding families of the DSAGC in 1981. She and her husband fell in love with a girl with Down syndrome at a children’s home, according to the website, and were told she was unadoptable. That led the couple to create a program that would help families adopt children with Down syndrome.
