TRAFFIC ALERT: Green Valley Road in Watsonville to be closed through Halloween

Green Valley Road will be closed in Watsonville due to pavement improvements.

According to Watsonville Police and the city, there will be a full road closure on Green Valley between Struve Slough and Carey Avenue.

The closure will be in effect from Saturday October 26th through Halloween.

Granite Construction will be doing the work.

The closure will begin to the south at the Home Depot and Green Valley Church intersection and will run to Carey Avenue to the north.

The southern detour will take traffic from the south at Loma Prieta Avenue to Airport Boulevard. Traffic will then be directed onto Freedom Boulevard from Airport.

Foot traffic will be limited to one side of the roadway.

The northern detour will take traffic from Freedom Boulevard onto Airport Boulevard and then onto Loma Prieta Avenue. Carey Avenue residents will have access during the closure.

Through traffic won’t be allowed, but local business traffic along Green Valley Road will be.
