Former model in court after being accused of killing Monterey doctor

The former Playboy model believed to be responsible for the death of a Monterey doctor was in court Monday.

During Monday’s court appearance in San Joaquin County it was decided that Kelsey Turner, 25, would have a new hearing about a move to Nevada, on April 16. The San Joaquin County prosecutor told the court that Las Vegas Metro Police wanted Turner in Nevada by April 12th, but “additional information has come to light and they have to make different plans for her.”

Turner was arrested in Stockton on March 21 for the murder of Monterey County doctor, Thomas Kirk Burchard.

Burchard’s body was found inside the trunk of a car law enforcement said was owned by Turner, on March 7 in the Las Vegas area. Turner’s arrest warrant also describes the search of her Las Vegas-area home, where officers found blood, damage, and cleaning supplies. It was determined Burchard died from blunt-force trauma to the head.

Arrest warrants have also been issued for Jon Logan Kennison and Diana Nicole Pena in connection with the murder of Dr. Thomas Burchard. Both are wanted on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and open murder with the use of a deadly weapon.
