Police arrest man armed with knife in Watsonville
UPDATE: 12/21/2018 12:52 p.m. A man armed with a knife caused police to shutdown a roadway in Watsonville.
Officers tried to convince the suspect to come down from the roof of a car.
The incident happened around 12 p.m. Friday.
South Green Valley Road between Harkins Slough and Green Meadow Drive was closed off.
WPD negotiators convinced the man to drop his weapon and come down. The suspect was taken into custody and the roads in the area were reopened by 12:45 p.m.
