Monterey Bay Aquarium apologizes for fat-shaming otter
The Monterey Bay Aquarium is getting slammed for a tweet that some say fat-shames one of its otters.
On Tuesday, the aquarium posted to Twitter about Abby the sea otter, referencing her body.
People got upset over the MBA calling Abby thick, forcing them to issue an apology.

One user responded saying, “I like big pups and I cannot lie, you other otters can’t deny.” The aquarium responded with a simple “you’re hired.”
