Fire near Depot Park in Santa Cruz extinguished

UPDATE 10/7/2018 6:00 p.m. A fire burning outside Depot Park in Santa Cruz is extinguished.

It started around noon on Sunday on a hill below a modular home park.

Fire investigators say they think it was started when a transient warming fire from Saturday night reignited due to heat and wind.

The fire grew up the hill and one modular home was destroyed.

Crews spent three hours working to put it out.

There were no injuries.

Santa Cruz City Fire, Central Fire and Felton Fire all responded to the incident.
