Watsonville teen accused of sexually abusing child over several years
A 19-year-old Watsonville man was arrested for sexually abusing a child for several years.
It began in 2007 when both the suspect and the girl were underage.
The abuse allegedly lasted about five years.
The girl came forward to give Watsonville detectives a detailed account of the sexual abuse.
Detectives had enough evidence to arrest Julian Barrera on several charges Thursday.
He was booked into the Santa Cruz Juvenile Hall because he was underage at the time.
