Traffic Alert: Roads reopen following oil spill near UC Santa Cruz

Folks driving into UC Santa Cruz are advised to do so with caution following an oil spill near the campus.

According to UCSC, a tour bus spilled oil on a campus road around 7:30 a.m. Friday.

UCSC told KION the spill is affecting Mission, High St. Coolidge Drive up to Merrill College.

“Motorists should consider using west entrance and drive with extreme caution as roadways may be slick without a visible sign of oil,” said UCSC officials.

A clean up is underway on campus, county, and city roads.

All roads reopened around 12p.m.
