Victim shot on E. Lake Street in Salinas
UPDATE:Salinas Police officials say the shooting in Chinatown is being investigated as self-inflicted.
They tell us despite reports by other outlets, no gunman was ever at large.
The victim is expected to survive.

The Salinas Police Department is investigating a shooting in Chinatown.
According to police, a man suffered at least one gunshot wound on East Lake Street in Salinas. The shooting occurred around 2 p.m. Thursday.
The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and wasn’t cooperating with police.
The investigation is ongoing.
