21-year-old killed in shooting on Carol Drive ID’d

UPDATE: 6/22/2018 4:20 p.m. Friday night a 21-year-old man was killed in a shooting near the 400 block of Carol Drive in Salinas.

The Salinas Police Department has identified the victim as Jose Alberto Ramirez Lopez.

Lopez was in a car when multiple people came over to him.

SPD said a fight broke out and at least one of the suspects shot Lopez.

There have not been any arrests made yet.

Police do not know yet if it is gang related or what the motive may be.
