Police investigate shooting threat at North Salinas High School

Another school shooting threat is being investigated on the Central Coast.

Salinas Police officers were at North Salinas High School investigating a shooting threat after graffiti was found in one of the bathrooms, around 9:30 a.m. Monday.

The note said, “Attention North Salinas High School at 2:55 according to the girl’s restroom there’s going to be a shooting this is no joke everyone get out if you ‘here’ shots.”

Officers were on scene and though they don’t believe the threat is credible, SPD told KION they take all threats seriously.

School Resource Officers were relocated to North Salinas HS and additional patrol officers remained on campus.

Just five days ago, the Pacific Grove Police Department announced several shooting threats had been made towards Pacific Grove HS.

The threats were also found written inside the girls bathroom and said things like, ” Imma shoot up this school, just wait on it…my shooter he already got a plan.”

SPD said this is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with information is encouraged to call Salinas Police at 831-758-7250.
