Festivalgoer dies after incident at Lightning in a Bottle

A 20-year-old woman is dead after being taken to the hospital on Sunday from the Lightning in a Bottle music festival at Lake San Antonio, according to the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said Baylee Ybarra Gatlin, of Ventura, died at Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton.

Its unclear how she died, but an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office said.

According to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, about 25,000 people attended the 3-day festival over the Memorial Day weekend. Music and art installations were held along the north shore area of the lake.

A former co-worker said Gatlin worked at Aloha Steakhouse in Ventura and confirmed her identity on Facebook.
