Body found near West Cliff beach in Santa Cruz
According to the Santa Cruz Police Department, officers responded to a report of a body just after 9 a.m. Thursday.
The body washed up on a small beach area on West Cliff Drive just across from Fair Avenue.
Officers located remains of the body and the coroner was called to the scene. Due to the state of the body authorities could not identify whether it is a man or woman at this time.
