Man shot in the legs while driving in King City, police say
UPDATE 5/22/17 11:08 a.m.: King City police are looking for suspects after a 23-year-old man was shot in the legs while driving on San Antonio Dr. Monday morning.
Police said the victim heard gunshots near San Antonio Dr. and Amherst at about 8 a.m., looked down and realized he’d been shot while driving.
The incident was initially reported to police as people in two cars, possibly shooting at each other.
Police said the victim drove himself the the hospital and was in stable condition.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white colored sedan, possibly a Nissan. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 800-78-CRIME to remain anonymous.
UPDATE 5/22/17 9:39 a.m. King City Police Chief Robert Masterson says lockdown has been lifted.
ORIGINAL: A shooting near King City High School has prompted a lockdown of the school Monday morning, according to King City Police Chief Robert Masterson.
The shooting happened at an apartment complex on San Antonio Drive and Amherst Drive, Masterson told KION. One person was injured in the shooting and is in stable condition.
The school was placed on lockdown as a precaution.
