So it’s no wonder some savvy consumers are looking for options when it comes to taking care of their medical needs.

In a special report airing Thursday, April 27th at 6pm on KION, Spencer Washburn introduces us to some people living on the Central Coast who had traditional insurance plans, but found a doctor they really like who offers discounts for patients who pay cash.

We found that some doctors are just as fed up with the complexity and cost of today’s health care system and have decided to go their own way. Cash for care works for some people and medical professionals, but consumer beware. There are some things to watch out for.
