Six arrested in Salinas parole searches

The Salinas Police Department, along with the Monterey County Probation Department and Monterey County Parole, arrested six parolees during a sweep on Tuesday, March 28.

Officers searched a total of 15 homes. Two people were arrested for violating parole. The other four were arrested for violations including possession of a firearm, gang association and possession of a controlled substance for sale.

Police recovered one firearm, ammunition and a small amount of cocaine and methamphetamine.

The parolees were booked into the Monterey County Jail.
