Arrest over Santa Cruz drugs and Firearms seizure

A narcotics investigation led to an arrest and the seizure of a Glock handgun, high capacity magazines and more than a pound and a half of methamphetamines in Santa Cruz, according to the Santa Cruz Police Department. Officers arrested Guillermo Garcia, 42 , from Santa Cruz, for possession of methamphetamine for sale and possession of high-capacity magazines. Garcia took responsibility for the drugs, according to police. A second person detained with Garcia was released. Santa Cruz Police Department’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team and the Santa Cruz County Gang Task Force s erved a search warrant at 4:25 a.m. at an apartment in the 2300 block of Portola Drive.

The search warrant stemmed from a narcotic investigation conducted by SCPD Net . The team was investigating reported drug sales in the City of Santa Cruz.
