Tree removal scheduled on Highway 101 near Dunbarton Road in Monterey County

A right lane of northbound Highway 101 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at Dunbarton Road for emergency tree removal, according to Caltrans officials.

Officials said the removal of the eucalyptus trees in the corridor will ensure the safety of drivers.

Electronic signs will be posted alerting drivers of the closure, and California Highway Patrol will assist with traffic control.

Drivers can expect delays of about 30 minutes, according to officials.
