Elkhorn Slough Reserve in Watsonville closed due to storm damage

Due to safety concerns associated with damage caused by the recent storm, Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve on 1700 Elkhorn Road in Watsonville will be closed Wednesday through Friday, according to officials.

Officials said there is a possibility it will reopen Saturday.

Officials recommend visitors contact the Elkhorn Slough Reserve to confirm the status before planning a visit.
