Pacheco Creek rising, voluntary evacuation orders issued

Voluntary evacuation orders have been issued for residents living near Pacheco Creek, according to the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office.

The current water level of Pacheco Creek is nearing 9-feet with “moderate flood stage” at 12-feet. The river is expected to reach 16-feet Monday.

The sheriff’s office is advising Residents living on Lovers Lane, San Felipe Road and Dunneville area to consider making plans to evacuate. In addition, the National Weather Service has issued a “flash flood warning” for San Benito County until 2:45 p.m.
