Drivers pitch in to clear tree on Highway 17

Drivers took matters into their own hands on Highway 17 Monday afternoon after a tree came down just north of Summit Rd.

Multiple people worked to remove the tree, some using chainsaws, while others started grabbing limbs with their bare hands.

Drivers reported the tree initially covered all lanes and was cleared a couple of hours later.
