Two known gang members arrested

Two Norteño gang members were arrested Wednesday after deputies with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office served search warrants on their homes.

Authorities said they served two search warrants simultaneously at Main Street and Axtell Street in Castroville. There, deputies discovered a number of illegal guns, drugs and other illegal items.

Arthur Marquez, 21, and Fabian Huerta, 37, were both arrested.
