Green Friday passes going fast

California State Parks, California State Parks Foundation and Save the Redwoods League have been urging people to go green on Black Friday. They say, instead of going shopping, visit a state park.

That’s why the groups have teamed up to offer 13,000 free vehicle day-use passes to 116 participating state parks. The passes were on a first-come, first-served basis and cover day-use admission and parking fees.

Big Basin Redwoods, Henry Cowell, Henry Coe State Parks are all participating, as well as Manresa, Natural Bridges, New Brighton, Seacliff and Sunset State Beaches. Many have already sold out, click here to see where you can still get free passes.
