Heavy police presence in Salinas after wanted man gets away
The Salinas Police Dept. is looking for a wanted parolee who managed to escape officers Saturday night prompting the closure of several streets in East Salinas, police said.
Police spotted the man, 35 year old Christian Ivan Rivera, driving on Midway and Fairhaven around 10 p.m. According to police, officers setup a perimeter to try to get him but he got away.
Police had to close parts of several streets, including Midway and Fairhaven, while they looked for him, but he was nowhere to be found.
Police are asking anyone with any information to call them.
