Marina man leads police on high speed chase to Spreckels

Officials are searching for a man who led them on a high speed chase through Monterey County on Tuesday night.

It started just before 10:00 p.m. in the 3000 block of Bostick Avenue in Marina. Police responded to a report of a domestic argument between family members at a residence. When they arrived on scene, it was determined that the suspect had a gun at one point, but it was taken away by another family member.

That suspect, identified as Jasen David Kolone then left the area in a vehicle.

He was later spotted traveling on Reservation Road, just west of Imjin Parkway. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but Kolone led them on a pursuit heading east out of Marina. The California Highway Patrol and Monterey County Sheriff’s Office joined the chase, headed toward Spreckels.

The suspect vehicle was eventually lost in an agricultural field near Spreckels.

Kolone was armed at the residence in Marina, but it is unknown if he was still armed at the time of the pursuit.

If you know the whereabouts of this suspect, please contact the Marina Police Department at 831-384-7575.
