Marina Police arrest domestic violence suspect in Santa Barbara

Marina Police found a wanted domestic violence suspect in Santa Barbara.

Detectives from the Marina Police Department Investigations Bureau traveled to Santa Barbara and arrested David Dows, 24, with help from the Santa Barbara Police Department.

Dows, a former college student, allegedly assaulted his former girlfriend in a student housing building in Marina last month.

Dows later returned to his hometown of Santa Barbara. He is now in the Santa Barbara County Jail, awaiting extradition back to Monterey County.

The charges against him include domestic violence, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, and terrorist threat.
