Monterey Bay Aquarium planning an Otter Bowl

The Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau is teaming up with the Monterey Bay Aquarium to put on an Otter Bowl ahead of the Super Bowl.

“Expect that to be a great opportunity for us to get a lot of exposure for our area,” said Rob O’Keefe, Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer with the Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The Otter Bowl details are still being worked out, but KION did learn that safe helmet shaped ice will be used for the event.

According to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Otter Bowl will not be a public event, but cameras will capture all of the action.

The Otter Bowl is expected to take place on January 31 st .
