Two arrested for prostitution in Monterey

Two people are facing charges for prostitution in Monterey after an undercover investigation by police.

Officers said Siau San Tee, of New York and San Gabriel, CA, was arrested in September for prostitution at “Classic Massage and Spa” at 950 Cass St. In November, officers said Eun Fuller, of Lawrenceville, GA, was also arrested for prostitution at “Cypress Studios” at 580 Casanova Ave. Permits to operate have been denied at both locations.

Earlier this year, Monterey updated the city code to address concerns surrounding massage establishments. Changes to the code require stricter rules for massage businesses.

Monterey Police said recently it has processes about thirty applications and wants to point out the majority of massage businesses are operating legally.

Police said the undercover investigation was done in an effort to deter any type of human-trafficking activity.
