Salinas hosts Parade of Lights
Thousands of people came out Sunday for the largest and brightest parade in Salinas.
The 15 th annual Parade of Lights went from Acacia Street all the way down Main.
Dancers, a band along with Santa and Mrs. Claus were a few acts marching in the 90 minute celebration.
Event coordinators tell us there were more than 85 entries making this year’s parade the largest one they’ve had so far.
“It’s all free for the community just to come out and enjoy and start celebrating the season,” said Parade of Lights chair Roxanne Noble Ross.
The parade is projected to bring 30-50,000 people out each year.
