#OptOutside campaign encourages people to get outside instead of shop on Black Friday
UPDATE 11/25/2015 12:45 PM: Free passes have sold out at SOME of the parks.
ORIGINAL STORY: Save the Redwoods League and California State Parks have teamed up to encourage people to skip the shopping on Black Friday and head outside instead.
Called the #OptOutside campaign, there’s an incentive here; 49 California redwood state parks will be free of charge on Black Friday.
Those looking to take advantage must download and print out a copy of the Free Redwood Parks Day-Use Pass available here.
That link will also have more information on #OptOutside and specific park hours.
