Woman dies following car accident in Salinas last Friday
The Salinas Police Department shared news Tuesday that a woman involved in a car accident Friday has died from her injuries.
Police said Corazon Galindo, 75, was driving on Harden Parkway when she lost control, most likely because of a medical issue. Police said she did not slow down as she drove through the stop sign at McKinnon Street, and another car hit her. That other car spun out and hit another car.
Galindo suffered chest and internal injuries as her car went head on into a palm tree. Medics took her to Natividad Medical Center Friday night in critical condition. She was later transported to a Bay Area hospital where she died.
This is the 7th fatal car crash in Salinas this year.
No one else was injured in the crash.
