Gang members busted for guns and drugs in King City, deputies say
Two King City residents were arrested Wednesday night during a sweep by the Southern Monterey County Violence Suppression Collaboration after search warrants at two locations were issued.
Investigators said their arrests were the culmination of a month long investigation into illegal activity.
An address in the 100 block of Leeds Ave. and another location in the 1200 block of Bluff Ave. were both investigated. That’s where responding officers said they found gang paraphernalia, illegal controlled substances and guns.
One of the people arrested was on state parole and had a felony warrant. Investigators said at that location they found a gun, ammunition, brass knuckles, drugs, police scanners and stolen property.
Investigators said Everardo Rivera, 32, and Jacqueline Arellano, 22, were both arrested and are active Norteno gang members.
