Highway 101 delays in Salinas on Wednesday and Thursday
A mobile scan survey of a six-mile section of US Highway 101 in the Salinas area from the Airport Blvd. overcrossing to just north of Boronda Rd. will take place on Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Drivers should be advised that the on/off ramps within the survey area will be closed for a few minutes each day while the survey team makes two passes over this route and motorists can expect delays not to exceed 10 minutes within the survey area.
On Wednesday, August 26 there will be a rolling 30 mile-per-hour closure of both northbound and southbound US Highway 101 from the Airport Blvd. overcrossing to the Boronda Rd. overcrossing. This will include the scanning of all North Main St. and Laurel Ave. ramps.
On Thursday, Aug. 27 there will be a rolling 30 mile-per-hour closure of both northbound and southbound US Highway 101 from the Rte. 183/101 separation to mile north of Boronda Rd. This will include all the ramps at Boronda and Laurel Ave.
The California Highway Patrol and the Caltrans Salinas Maintenance crew will assist with traffic control.
