Cash-and-candy armed robber hits Party City, police say

An armed robber showed a gun demanding cash from a cashier at Party City on Main Street in Salinas Wednesday night, police said.

Officers said the suspect was described as a white man in his 40s, 6 foot 1 inch tall, about 230 pounds and having a red beard.

Police said the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and candy.
