Police: Shots fired near Williams Road; suspects on the loose in Salinas

Salinas police were on the lookout for two suspects after shots were fired on the 500 block of Williams Road just after 5 p.m. Saturday.
Police said four people were arguing, two on each side. They said it got to the point where one suspect pulled out a gun and fired a couple of shots.
One bullet hit an apartment but nothing else, police said.
They said the two victims hopped in an SUV. An officer was in the area, heard the shots and was able to pull the car over with the victims inside, police said.
Police called in additional officers and a California Highway Patrol helicopter to search for the two suspects. but to no avail.
They said one suspect was wearing a black shirt and the other had a camouflage shirt. Police said they are in the age range of 14 to 17 years old.
They added it’s too early to tell if it’s gang-related but no one was injured.
