Tractor trailer overturns on Highway 101 on-ramp in Gilroy
A big rig carrying 40,000 pounds of large paper rolls overturned on the Highway 101 on-ramp from northbound State Route 25 Thursday morning.
California Highway Patrol officers say the truck overturned just before 8 a.m. as the driver was getting onto northbound Highway 101. The truck driver took the turn too fast and toppled over, officers said. The load did not spill.
The incident, which happened close to the Garlic Shop, did not involve any other vehicles.
Crews are expected to be on scene for the next three hours with intermittent ramp closures in the area, while they work to get the truck upright and moved out of the area.
No injuries have been reported.
