Seaside police investigating Sunday shooting

Seaside police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday night at the corner of Kimball Avenue and Wheeler Street.

Police were notified by dispatch around 11:30 p.m. that a man had called to report he had just been shot.

Officers say the victim was shot several times. He was taken to a Bay Area hospital for treatment of his injuries, which aren’t believed to be life-threatening.

The shooting is believed to be gang related. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact Seaside Police.
