Man reported missing out of Watsonville

A Watsonville man has been reported missing after being released from the Behavioral Health Clinic in Santa Cruz last weekend.

Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies said family members on Tuesday afternoon reported Darin Zinola missing.

Zinola was released from the health clinic Saturday.

Family members told deputies that Zinola has medical issues that place him at risk if not treated. Zinola has a difficult time communicating verbally.

He may be found on the river levees in Watsonville and Santa Cruz.

Zinola is a white man, 51 years old, 265 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a beige “Big Sur” T-shirt, gray exercise pants and dark brown leather loafers.

The Sheriff’s Office asks residents to be on the lookout for Zinola and is asking the public to call sheriff’s dispatch at 471-1121 if they have any information regarding Zinola’s whereabouts.
