Part-time newscast video editor
KION TV on California’s Central Coast is currently seeking a part-time Newscast Video Editor. The qualified candidate must be motivated to learn and implement the latest technology, enjoy the fast-paced environment of the newsroom, experience with non-linear video editing software, create graphics and other duties as assigned by supervisor. Must be able to carry up to 50lbs of equipment and be willing to work a variety of shifts if necessary.
Essential Job Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Editing for newscasts
Post content to website
Create graphics using Adobe Photoshop / Deko
Shooting video in the field
Required Skills / Education / Certification: Two years news experience preferred
College degree preferred
Proficient in using non-linear editing systems
Possess excellent organizational, communication and time management skills
Spanish skills a plus
