Crews douse fire near Juvenile Hall in Felton
A blaze Tuesday morning in Felton almost prompted the evacuation of Juvenile Hall but fortunately, fire crews were able to extinguish it quickly.
A 50-by-50 foot spot of vegetation caught on fire just behind the county’s Juvenile Hall. Santa Cruz County deputies were prepared to evacuate the facility if need be, but ended up not needing to.
