Salinas police searching for armed carjacker

Salinas Police need your help finding an armed carjacker who stole a man’s vehicle Sunday.

According to police, the victim was sitting in his car eating in the parking lot of the El Pollo Loco on East Market Street. That’s when an Hispanic male between 25 and 30 years old approached him with a semi-automatic handgun. The suspect demanded the victim’s wallet and ordered him to get out of his car. The suspect then drove off in the victim’s vehicle, a 2004 4-door, beige Honda. The victim was not injured.
