Two arrested in Salinas for alleged possession of drugs, stolen property
Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two people after locating a stolen car and property stolen from Pacific Gas and Electric.
Officers responded Sunday evening to reports of a vehicle idling in an agriculture field in the area of Boronda Lane at Madison in the Salinas area.
The driver was sitting in the car at the time and the keys were in the ignition. The car was confirmed stolen out of Fresno. Deputies found methamphetamine, a meth pipe and syringes in the car.
A search of the driver’s nearby travel trailer turned up property stolen from PG&E, more meth pipes and drug scales.
The driver, 30-year-old Stephen Worley, was arrested on multiple charges, as was the passenger, 30-year-old Monique Benitez.
