Search suspended for missing Menlo Park woman

Authorities have suspended the search on rugged Mount Tamalpais for a 33-year-old Menlo Park woman missing for more than a week, as her parents urged anyone with information to contact forest rangers.

Marin County Sheriff’s and California State Parks officials say a lack of firm leads and new evidence prompted investigators on Monday to call off the search for Magdalena Glinkowski.

Glinkoski was caught by security video showing her walking across a nearby parking lot on Sunday, March 30. Her rental car was later discovered there.

Her parents, Jacek and Natalia Glinkowski, flew in from Boston to help in the search. During a Monday press conference the mother said her daughter is not someone who would give up in a difficult situation.

A rescue team led volunteers and dogs on a ground and air search for Glinkoski over the weekend.
