Special needs instructor arrested on suspicion of molestation
A 57-year-old special needs instructor is accused of molesting two underage victims.
Adam Frogel turned himself into the Salinas Police Department yesterday after being contacted by officers.
Frogel is a contract employee from the state of Florida and contracted through the Monterey County Office of Education to provide services to special needs children. He is not an employee of the Salinas Union High School District, according to police.
Officers believe Frogel had sexual relations with two minors during after-hours and at an off-site location. He’s been booked at the Monterey County Jail on suspicion of multiple sexual crimes with a minor. He’s being held on $500,000 bail.
