Mount Hermon Road partially closed after truck collides with power lines
Mount Hermon Road in the Scotts Valley area is still partially closed Wednesday afternoon after a big rig truck went off the road and knocked down power lines. The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. and is being blamed on wet roadways. California Highway Patrol officers and members of the Scotts Valley Police Department responded. PG&E crews were also there.
The driver of the truck was not injured. The truck wasn’t carrying cargo and was headed back to Sacramento.
As of about 1 p.m., CHP officers couldn’t say how soon the road would reopen. Two two trucks were working to pull the truck out of the ditch it went into.
