Boat Sinks in Monterey Harbor, Coast Guard Crews On Scene

A 30 foot commercial boat sunk in the Monterey Bay harbor Friday morning. Coast Guard crews in Monterey said that nobody was onboard the boat at the time.

Currently environmental crews are conducting pollution control around the area to make sure that no oil leaks out. According to the California Office of Spill Prevention and Response, there are no reports of any oiled wildlife at this time, but they are still monitoring the area.

According to Coast Guard Monterey, they believe the boat had a small leak that went unnoticed by the crew. By 9 a.m. the boat, named Andrea, had been raised.
